SBBloomsello,
I created a workflow for my Pro Partner Application. After an applicant submits the form, their application should wait for my approval. Once I approve them, our ActiveCampaign integration should create the contact and add them to the appropriate automation.
The issue is that Jotform is creating the contact in ActiveCampaign whether I approve or deny the applicant. It should only create the contact when I select “Approve.”
Could someone help me adjust the workflow so the integration only runs after an applicant has been approved?

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Kelly,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
From the available information, Jotform can integrate with ActiveCampaign to create contacts, accounts, or deals automatically when a form is submitted, and Workflows can manage approval steps and outcomes (Approve / Deny). However, there is no information indicating that an ActiveCampaign integration action can be configured to run only when a specific approval outcome (such as Approve) is selected, or to be skipped when Deny is selected.
Given that, it appears that the ActiveCampaign integration currently runs based on the form submission event itself, not on the later approval outcome in the workflow. Because of this, there is no documented way in the available information to make the ActiveCampaign action trigger only after an approval, or to prevent it from running when the request is denied.
To better understand your setup and see if there is any documented workaround that might apply, please clarify the following so our support team can review it further:
- How is your workflow structured after the form submission (for example, which elements come after the Approval element, and where you expect ActiveCampaign to be triggered).
- How you currently configured the ActiveCampaign integration on the form (which action you chose, and whether there are multiple actions).
- Whether you are using any other integrations or email steps tied to the approval outcomes (Approve vs Deny).
After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
