I need to change account information as the person in charge of the account is no longer with the company. We need to change the username and password.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Tal,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Since the person in charge of the account has left the company, you can update both the username and password from the account settings, as long as you still have access to log in or to the account email. Let me walk you through both changes:
To change the username:
Let me help you with that:
1. On your Account Settings, click on Edit in the Username section.

2. Enter your new username and click on Save. That's it.
If HIPAA compliance features are enabled in your account, changing usernames is currently not possible. Additionally, changing your username will invalidate All Custom Form URLs that include your old username. We also have a guide about How to Change Your Username that you can check out.To change the password (so the new person in charge has sole access):
Let me walk you through it:
1. Go to the Jotform Main page and click on Login at the top-right corner of the page.

2. In the window that opens, click on Forgot Password?

3. Enter your account email address, and then click on Send Reset Instructions.

4. The account email will receive a message with instructions on how to reset the password. Open the email and click on the Reset Password button.

5. Enter the new password, enter it again to verify it, and then click on Create a New Password.
There you go. The new password is now set, and the new person in charge can use it to log into your Jotform account. You can also check out our How to Reset Your Jotform Password guide for more information. If you no longer have access to the account email or cannot log in at all, please let us know your situation in a bit more detail so we can guide you on the next steps.
Reach out again if you need any other help.

We do not have the current Login
-
Podo: Support SpecialistGot it, thanks for clarifying. If no one has the current login or access to the account email anymore, we’ll need to verify account ownership first.
Please have the new person in charge follow the steps in this guide so we can help recover the account:
- Go to this article: Recover Your Jotform Account.
- Follow the instructions there to submit the required ownership details (such as billing info, company domain, links to forms, etc.).
Once the account is recovered, you’ll be able to reset the password and then update the username from the account settings. If you can share the current account username or any form URL linked to it, I can point you to the most relevant part of the process.
