I have a registration form for a conference. I am unable to change the session selected on the backend for some reason. I'm also unable to manually add someone who paid in person. I'm not sure what I did wrong with my form but I need to be able to do those actions.

    Hi Nicole,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

You can edit submissions directly within the cell in Jotform Tables. Let me show you how:

    1. On your Jotform Submissions Table, click on the cell you want to change (for example, the column where the session is selected).
    2. Delete the information in it and then enter the new answer or select the new session option for that registrant.
    3. Repeat this for any other fields you need to adjust for that submission.

To manually add someone who paid in person, you can create a new row in Jotform Tables that represents a manual registration. Let me walk you through it:

    1. Go to your form’s Submissions Table.
    2. Click on the Add button (or the plus icon) to add a new row or record.
    3. Fill out the fields in that new row with the attendee’s details and select the correct session for them.

If you do not see the option to add a new row or to edit a specific column (like the session field), please share a bit more detail about what you see on your screen (for example, a screenshot or whether the column is grayed out), and we can narrow down what is blocking the edits.

Reach out again if you need any other help.

    Hi Nicole,

It is not possible to edit or change a product that has already been selected and paid for through a payment field on a submission. Once the payment has been processed, the product selection and payment details in that submission are locked and cannot be modified from the backend in Jotform Tables or via Edit Entry.

If you need to adjust what the attendee is registered for after payment, the usual approach is to handle the change outside of that specific paid submission (for example, by making a note in another field, creating a new submission, or managing the change in your own records), but the original paid product selection itself cannot be altered.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Dang. Ok.

Is there a preferred way to have a workshop registration form that will allow me to edit the responses on the backend and still charge a fee?

    Hi Nicole,

Users can edit their submitted form fields through the edit link and update their information as needed. However, payment details cannot be modified or re-processed during edit mode.

From the admin side, you can also update submission details directly in the backend. If a user makes an incorrect payment, the usual approach is to refund the payment and ask them to resubmit the form.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
