Let’s sort that out — I’ll need to take a closer look at your form’s setup.

Please share the form URL or the direct link you give to your users (or the form ID if you have it handy), and also tell me what exact error message you or your customers are seeing on the payment step (for example, any error code or text from Authorize.net).

It's giving the code User authentication failed due to invalid authentication values.

    Hi Shawntel,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The reason you are seeing this error on your form is that a Client Key is either missing or the existing Client Key has been changed and no longer matches the connection configured in your form. Adding a new Reusable Payment Connection and using your Public Client Key will fix that. Let me show you how to add it:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Product List field, then click on the Credit Card icon.

    2. Then, in the menu that appears on the right side of the page, click on the Plug icon in the Payment Connection section.

    3. Click on Add New Connection, select Authorize.Net, and click on Next.

    4. Select Live Mode under the X button on the right.

    5. Then, enter a Connection Name, your Authorize.Net’s API Login ID, Transaction Key, and Client Key.

    6. Next, click on Connect with Authorize. Net.

Just went through the steps to ensure nothing was overlooked, and yeah, we got the same thing.

    Hi Shawntel,

This error usually means the API credentials you entered for Authorize.Net don’t match what the system expects. Try to log in to your Authorize.Net account and double‑check that you’ve copied the exact values for your API Login ID, Transaction Key, and Client Key. Also, make sure your connection is set to Live Mode when collecting real payments. Using test credentials in live mode or live credentials in test mode, will trigger authentication errors.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.

We did this about five times. These credentials work with about five other platforms.
