massfarmersmarketsHi -
I would like to be able to display the live, dynamic balance remaining on the 2nd page of our expense tracking form: https://www.jotform.com/build/261512743256051
Example:
Starting balance is $1,000
Employee A submits an expense for $500 on May 1st. After submitting the expense, employee A will see that the balance is $500.
Employee B submits an expense for $250 on May 15th. After submitting the expense, employee B will see that the balance in the account is $250.
How can I make this happen in the form?
Thanks so much.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Mass,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Let me help you with that:
Based on the available information, there is currently no documented way to have a field in your form automatically calculate and display a live, running balance across all submissions (for example, starting balance minus the sum of every previous employee’s expenses) at the time a new user fills or submits the form.
In other words, the type of behavior you described — where Employee B’s submission automatically “knows” about Employee A’s previous expense and shows the updated remaining balance inside the form — is not covered in the information we have, and I cannot confirm a supported method to implement it directly within the form itself.
You can still track totals and remaining balances after submissions (for example, by using Jotform Tables to review all expenses and calculate remaining funds there), but a fully dynamic, cross-submission balance display inside the live form is not something I can confirm as possible from the current data.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
