How do I reorder the questions on a Jotform Sign

How do I reorder the questions on a Jotform Sign? The AI created it first and then I had to go in and add a few more questions. When the form is sent out for signature, it jumps around in the order the questions were added to the form when creating.

1. Open your document in Sign Builder, and click on a field, then hold and drag its edge to resize it if needed so everything fits clearly in the layout.
2. To change the order, click on a field, then drag and drop it to the exact position on the page where you want that question to appear in the signing flow.
3. Repeat this for each question you added later, placing them visually in the sequence you want the signer to follow.

After rearranging, send a quick test to yourself to confirm the cursor now follows the new visual order when filling and signing.

That is not the problem.

When a form is sent to be signed by a participant and they are prompted to sign the document. Instead of the prompts moving in the order down the page, it jumps past a few prompts and then goes back. For example in the below screenshot it will ask for the Contact Telephone, Then the Relationship and then the Emergency Contact instead of following the form from Emergency Contact to Relationship to Contact Telephone.

I recreated the document and made sure I entered the fill in blocks in the order on the page.

Are you asking about setting the signing sequence for signers? Currently, Jotform Sign does not allow manual control of signing order. Instead, the system automatically determines it based on the placement of fields, prioritizing those positioned higher on the page and further to the left.

While that feature isn’t available in Jotform right now, I’ve sent your request to our Developers for review. When or if it gets developed will depend on their current workload, how possible it is, and how much demand there is from other users. If/when we have any updates, we’ll follow up here and keep you posted.
