Hello! I keep receiving this error and not sure what the issue is. once a jot form is submitted a contact is created in salesforce. We are using the jot form as an online registration form for an afterschool program. In the form it is possible that up to 4 students who are being registered. In salesforce the contacts are being created BUT if there are more than 2 students being submitted on the jot form that 3rd and 4th contact is not being created in sales force.

Another thing I'm noticing is that when a jot form is submitted (even if its for 1 student) it is creating 2 identical contacts in salesforce. Salesforce Jotform integration Error Image 1 Screenshot 30Salesforce Jotform integration Error Image 2 Screenshot 41

    Hi Marissa,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Regarding the Salesforce integration issues you're experiencing:

    • The error "Required fields are missing: [LastName]" usually means some required Salesforce fields are not filled. Make sure the LastName field in your Jotform is set as required and properly mapped to Salesforce.
    • Duplicate contacts are often caused by Salesforce duplicate rules. To avoid this, enable the "Update an existing record" option in your Salesforce integration settings and set matching rules, such as matching by email address.
    • For multiple students, Salesforce may not create more than two contacts if the form fields or integration is not set to handle multiple entries properly. Check your form field mappings and ensure each student’s data is correctly mapped to separate Salesforce contact records.

Let me know if you need more detailed steps on any of these points.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Jotform Support
