approval workflow question

    Hello,

I'm creating a form that requires an approval. I have the workflow set up where the form is either approved or denied. On the workflow, once it's denied, I'd like it to go back to the original submission so that whatever the approver said needed to be done could be corrected and then the submission resubmitted.

I'm not finding instructions or seeing a way to make that happen. Can that be done?

    Thank you!

    Hi Kerri,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. While there's no automatic return for edits feature in Workflow Builder, you can achieve this by adding the Edit Link to the email sent when a request is denied. This allows the submitter to open their original submission, make the necessary changes, and resubmit the form. Let me show you how:

    1. In Workflow Builder, select the Email element after the Deny outcome and click on the Envelope icon.
    2. Next, in the Email Properties dialog, click on Form Fields and choose Edit Link in the dropdown.
    3. Click on Approval Fields and select the Approve & Sign comments in the dropdown to include the approver’s notes.
    4. Once done, click on Save to apply the changes. approval workflow question Image 1 Screenshot 30

That's it. Test your form and you'll see the edit link included in the email sent after denying the request, allowing the submitter to update and resubmit. Check out the screencast below for the result: approval workflow question Image 2 Screenshot 41 Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Thank you! That worked.

I've got another issue now. The form is not allowing multiple submissions even though I have chosen No Check in the Unique Submissions section. Any thoughts on why that might be happening?
