Jotform App: Push notifications through API

Dear JotForm Support Team,

I am writing to inquire about the possibility and method of sending push notifications to users of my JotForm App programmatically, specifically from external code (VBA in Microsoft Excel).

I am developing an Excel-based system to manage shift scheduling for my team, and I am using JotForm to collect shift preferences from my drivers via a custom JotForm App. The data is successfully imported into my Excel file using Power Query.

My goal is to allow our dispatcher (Yehuda) to draft and send custom push notifications to the drivers who have the JotForm App installed. We want to initiate these notifications from within the Excel workbook.

I can see the "PUSH NOTIFICATIONS" option within my JotForm App settings (as shown in the attached screenshot 1). I also see the fields for "Notification title" and "Notification content" (as shown in attached screenshot 2), indicating that this functionality exists within the App Builder. I also have an active API Key for my account.

Could you please confirm if it's possible to send these push notifications directly via the JotForm API? If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide the following information:

1. Which specific API Endpoint/Method should be used to send these push notifications to my JotForm App users?
2. What are the required parameters for this API call (e.g., apiKey, appId, title, message/content, recipient identification, etc.)?
3. Are there any specific authentication requirements or headers that need to be included in the API request from an external application?
4. Are there any rate limits or other restrictions on sending push notifications via the API?
