Can you prefill a Sign document?

    Hi all

Is it possible to prefill an eSign via an invite link?

Or prefill an eSign in any automated way?

This one is just a sample I'm preparing for an integration demo, but to avoid user error I'd like to be able to prefill the Group dropdown.

From my attempts it looks like there's frustratingly little ability to prefill any data into eSign forms other than the recipients themselves - even then, it's not possible to do conditional recipients.

What could be one click in Salesforce turns into a prefilled form feeding a signing workflow feeding a series of logic steps to determine which alternate eSign to offer depending on count of signers, and the eSigns can't carry any data from the initial form except the signers names and emails.

There has to be an easier way to do this.

    Hi Ciara,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, it's not possible to prefill Sign documents. As a workaround, you can use the PDF document and create a Smart PDF instead. Creating a form by uploading a PDF is easy. Let me show you how to do it:

    1. On your My Workspace page, click on Create on the top-left side of the page.
    2. Select Form from the assets, and then click on Smart PDF Form.
    3. In Smart PDF Forms, click on Upload Document, and then select the PDF you want to convert to a form, or just drag and drop the PDF into the white upload area.

Once you set everything up, when the form is filled, it will automatically fill your PDF file. Check out the screencast below to see how it'll work:

    1. In Smart PDF Forms, go to the Publish tab, select the Prefill tab from the left menu.

    2. Then click on the Manual Prefill option, and click on the Add a New Prefill button.

    3. Fill in the fields you want to prepopulate, then once done, click the Create button.

Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
