Invite By Email: Form Not Loading Error 401

Hello, I shared a form via email and it shows on his app now but when he goes to fill out, this is all that shows and not the form. What should I do?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. When you use the Invite by Email option to share a form, the recipient is required to log in or create a Jotform account before they can access and fill it out. This login requirement is what’s triggering the 401 Unauthorized error your invitee is seeing.

To avoid this issue, we recommend sharing the direct link to the form instead. This allows users to access and submit the form without needing to log in, as long as the form’s access settings are set to Public. You can easily share the direct link for your form. Let me show you how:

1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
2. In the Quick Share section, click on Copy Link in the Share With Link section.

We tried this as well and it won't add the form on the app with this. It pulls up online but not in the app. Please help! Thanks!

I cloned your form and access using a mobile device but couldn't replicate the issue. Can you share us how are you sharing the form in the app? Also, if you can take a screenshot of what’s happening, that'll help us to understand better what’s going on. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Help Center:

1. On the Help Center page, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.

2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.

3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.

4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.

5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.
