How to add a download link to a specific PDF report in an autoresponder email

Hi, I setup a approved route. After I approve the submission, the system will automatically send email with the attachment (e-voucher). So far it's quite smooth, and I want to add the link for the "pdf attachment" or pdf link in the email. However when I add {pdf-link}, it's not the same pdf I attched. How can I find the correct pdf link?

    Hi Eye,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

When adding the {pdf-link} tag in your approval email, it should generate a download link for the submission's PDF. However, this link may not match the exact PDF you attached manually.

To include the correct PDF link that matches your attached e-voucher, ensure you are using the {pdf-link} tag in the email content under the Emails settings of your form. This tag automatically generates a link to the submission's PDF.

If the PDF link does not match your attached file, it might be because the attached file is custom or different from the submission PDF generated by Jotform.

Here’s how to add the PDF link properly:

    1. Go to your form's Settings tab.
    2. Select the Emails section and edit your approval email.
    3. Insert the {pdf-link} tag in the email content where you want the PDF link to appear.
    4. Save the changes.

Note that the PDF link will direct users to the submission PDF generated by Jotform, not necessarily the exact PDF file you attached manually.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Jotform Support

    Hi fc_operations,

To do that, you’ll need to use a different URL that lets your users download the same PDF as the one attached. Let me show you how:

    1. In your Form Builder, click on Settings and go to Emails.
    2. Hover over the autoresponder email and click on the pencil icon.
    3. Hyperlink this URL https://www.jotform.com/pdf-editor/view/{FormID}/{PDF_ID}/{id} to a text in your email content.
    4. Click Save.
