I set up the widget to calculate the credit card fee percentage plus the .30. It shows the calculation on the form but then doesn't transfer that amount to the Stripe processing.
I've searched and searched for the answer. Can you help me?
Thank you.

Hi Tracy,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
To apply the calculated credit card fee amount to the final payment in Stripe, the widget calculation needs to be linked properly to the payment field. Unfortunately, the widget only displays the calculation and does not automatically add it to the payment total.
Here’s how to do it:
- Add a Form Calculation widget to calculate the credit card fee amount.
- Create a Form Calculation widget that adds the original payment amount plus the fee.
- Use the total from this second calculation widget as the payment amount in your Stripe payment integration.
This way, the Stripe payment will include the credit card fees in the final amount charged.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Best regards,

It still isn't carrying over the final calculation to the Stripe charge.

Hi Tracy,
Currently, the payment integration will only collect the amount from the Product List. This means that the price shown in the Form Calculation field is not considered.
As a workaround, you can use a basic form element like the Multiple Choice field to act as your Product List. Then, set your Payment Type to User Defined Amount and pull the value from your Form Calculation widget instead. It's really easy to do. Let me walk you through it, step by step:
- While in Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
- In the Form Elements menu, under the Basic tab, scroll down the list and choose the Multiple Choice field and drop it to your form.
- Click the Gear icon and go to Options tab and under Options section, add your Products.
- Enable Calculation Values and add the pricing for each product.
Then you need to change the Payment Type of your payment integration. Let's do it:
- In Form Builder, click on the Credit Card icon on the right side of the page to open Payment Properties.
- Set the Payment Type as User Defined Amount.
- Choose Yes, Change in the pop-up to confirm the changes.
- Click the User Defined icon and set the Get Price From as the Form Calculation Field.
Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.
