Order of fillable fields in Sign Document

I need help addressing wonky order of fillable fields on a document requiring signature.

If the order of fillable fields on your document requiring signature appears wonky, you can adjust their placement manually in Jotform Smart PDF Forms. When you add fields to your online form, corresponding fields appear on the PDF, which you can drag and resize to the correct positions. This way, you can fix the order and alignment of the fields as needed.

Sign Document's automatic ordering logic prioritizes fields positioned higher and more to the left. If you can share the link to your Sign Document, I can check it out and see what’s going on. It would also help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.

Yes, it would be great if you're able to support, thank you. I'd like the first siginer (in this case, "intern") to be guided through the fields from top-to-bottom and left-to-right, but when I tested out the form, the ordering logic jumped me around in seemingly random order.

Currently, in Jotform Sign, there is no option to manually set the signing sequence for signers. The signing order is automatically determined.

While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your response, but I think you misunderstood my query. I am not asking about the signing sequence, rather, the order of the fillable fields.

To clarify, do you want to enable the Sign in order to field to a specific person? If yes, you can set the signing order for your Jotform Sign Document. Let me show you how:

1. Open your document in Sign Builder, and then click on Send in the green navigation bar at the top of the page.
2. Then, toggle Signing Order to the On position.
3. Click and hold the Six Dots icon, then drag them in the order you want.
4. Now, click on Send to Sign, and you're done.
