  • Camp Cardboard 2025 Registration

    October 9-12
  • Can you believe it's time lock in your place at Camp Cardboard again?  We're working on putting together the final details of the event.  However, we are still lacking those finishing touches that make Camp Cardboard the annual success that it is - you!  Here's your opportunity to make it know to the world that you understand what tables were really created for all those centuries ago.

Now's the time that you decide whether you're going to stake out on another adventure or stay back at the inn and share stories of your glory days with the travellers passing through.  Please declare your intentions now.

  •  Glad to hear it!

You may remember that last year we realized that these are dangerous times we live in - trolls coming down from the hills, orc packs making brazen attacks in the light of day.  In these circumstances, it would be unconsciounable if one of our guild members were to get attacked simply for the gold they were carrying in their purse.  As such, we will only be accepting fares for your wares electronically - ahead of time - electronically.

Since every successful adventure starts with good planning and preparation, we're confident you have read the Adventurer (Attendee) Handbook you were provided in the email that contained the link to this form.

After all, if this is your first time adventuring with us, it contains crucial information that will allow all adventurers to get this most out of the experience - both your party and the other parties attending. Not to mention that, if you've already attended before and read the manual, modifications from last year are highlighted to make it a quick read to just get the updated bits.

  • Okay, we're going to take you at your word on that...

  • That's what I was afraid of.  It may be a good idea to review these before completing this registration, especially if this is your first time adventuring with us.

  • I'm just sure I had an extra copy of it laying around here somewhere...

Oh, hang on a minute... found it!  Here you go...

  • As this adventure is not for the faint-of-heart, not just anyone can tag along.  But not to worry, this is your private invitation to the greatest adventure of the year... should you be brave enough to accept the challenge!

This registration, once submitted, will be tied to the email address below and only one submission will be allowed per email address.  Once submitted, it cannot be changed.  So, as you're looking at all the possible grails to pick from, remember to choose wisely!  In the event that you find you 'chose poorly,' you will need to contact one of the Game Masters.

While this can be completed on a phone, we recommend the use of a computer or tablet as some of the controls related to the Meal Sharing don't format well on such a narrow screen.

  • If you don't understand something, you feel the form is misbehaving, you just rolled a critical failure, or are having other difficulties with the registration process, please call / text one of the Game Masters listed below. This information is also available at the bottom of each page by checking the Panic NOW! checkbox.

  • Welcome to Year 6!  We are striving to make this year even better than before.

While those dungeons can get pretty rough some times, we've always managed to scrape through.
  • So, does that mean it's time to celebrate?  You betcha that's what it means!

How do you plan to do that, you might ask.  We're glad you asked because we've just been dying to tell you (well, not really as that would be the end of our adventure, wouldn't it?).

    Limited Edition T-Shirts

What adventure would be complete without being properly outfitted?!?  Below you will see the four choices you have for the design.  Unfortunately, we were only able to obtain gray colored t-shirts (something about the textiles factory getting attacked by a fire drake...).  Quality gear like this, of course, requires compensating the craftsman for their effort and talent to the sum of 5 gold coins ($25).

These shirts will have, on the front, your choice of one of the images below and a Camp Cardboard logo on the left sleeve.  If this sounds like something you'd like to add to your prized loot chest, just remember to ask about them when paying your fare for the adventure at the Adventurer's Guild.

  • Camp Cardboard branded Dice Rolling Trays

We are also adding new neoprene dice rolling trays this year.  Having trouble keeping the dice on the table?  We have just the solution for you.  These handy dandy dice trays will keep your dice under control.  Please note, we cannot legally guarantee you better rolls, but you’ll look absolutely fabulous, even when rolling a critical fumble.  How much are we asking for this priceless addition to your backpack?  A mere $15.  What could be a better value?  Maybe buying two for twice the price?

  • We Have a New Inn (or Should I Say 'Inns') This Year!

Should you decide to stay overnight during your adventure here, your two primary options are to sleep under the stars (tent / no tent, your choice) or you can find a nearby Inn (the cabins 2 minutes west of the gaming hall - see the Attendee Handbook that is linked on the last page of this registration form if you missed the link at the beginning) and secure a bunk.  Every bunk occupied must be paid for with 8 silver coins ($8). That means Halflings have to pay as well.

If you would like to camp but do not have the equipment, please reach out to the Gilsons and they can get you squared away.

If staying at the Inn is your preferred choice, make sure you tell them that at the Adventurer's Guild when you check out as space is limited!

Please note that due to space constraints you will most likely be sharing a cabin with someone else, unless you are a full party of 4 adventurers.  In order to allow the most people possible to enjoy the quality inn, you may not reserve more beds than people in your party.  We appreciate your kindness in this regard.

  • Identify Your Party

Tell us about yourself and those joining you on this wonderful adventure.
  • We need to know about everyone in your party.  This would include the Adventure Party Leader named on the first page of this Registration form (sorry, we have no way to automatically populate that in here or we would have), as well as any Halflings (as a reminder, this refers to those under 8 years of age).

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE Extras BELOW:

As for the Extras, we would have liked to approach the gathering and utilizing of this a little differently to make the process flow a little better, but limitations in the tools we are using prevent us from doing this exactly the way we would like.  So, we've taken this slightly less streamlined approach of putting these options here.  In the case with the Halflings, you'd have confusing options in the Adventurer's Guild later on.

If the party member is a Halfling, just check the Is a Halfling checkbox.  That allows us to both know all attendees and not expect entrance fees to be paid for their attendance.

Note: In the control below, you do not have to click on the + Add Another Adventurer to the Party after each entry - you only need to click that if you wish to add one beyond what's in the fields above.

  • Based on the information provided above, when you get to the Adventurer's Guild, you should be purchasing the following:

    • {typeA} Event Attendance ticket(s) for Thursday
    • {totalAttend} Event Attendance ticket(s) for Friday
    • {totalAttend473} Event Attendance ticket(s) for Saturday
    • {totalAttend474} Event Attendance ticket(s) for Sunday
  • Additionally, you should be purchasing:

    • {totalSleep475} Bunk(s) for Thursday Night
    • {totalSleep476} Bunk(s) for Friday Night
    • {totalSleep471} Bunk(s) for Saturday Night
  • The Building of an Adventure

What Makes for a Good Adventure?
  • Every good dungeon crawl needs the right components.  After all, how can you slay the dragon if nobody brings swords or you can't entice the dragon out of its lair?

The heart of Camp Cardboard is, of course, the games.  While the organizers will be bringing many games along, you adventurers are more than welcome to bring your own.  For those that have joined us before, you know that one of the things we demand of those attending is respect for the games and we have never had an incident of damage or loss to any game brought, so feel welcome to bring your favorite must-play game along.

If you have any that you know you plan to bring, please list them below as we will be providing a link (see below) to a list of all the games expected to be at Camp Cardboard 2025.  If you don't know at the moment, that's fine too.  While we can add them when you arrive, it would be preferred if you sent us a list before the event to the Camp Cardboard email address of realcampcardboard@gmail.com.  That will allow us to add them to the list without interrupting our dragon slaying.  If you choose to provide that information at the event, you will need to bring with you a list of all the games you have brought and hand it to one of the Game Masters upon arrival.  They can, as time permits, add those to the list of games.

In the meantime, you can use the link below to see what others are planning to bring so far.

    Real Camp Cardboard on BoardGameGeek

Note: In the control below, you do not have to click on the + Add Another Game button to save what's in the Game Name box - you only need to click it if you would like to add an additional game.  To make it just a little easier for us, we ask that you only put one game name in at a time (click the button between each one rather than having them all in one entry that we would then need to separate manually).

  • Meal Sharing & Saturday Lunch Potluck

You need to make sure you keep your strength up on an adventure like this.
  • So, what the heck is this Meal Sharing thing, anyways?

Adventuring in a group can have so many advantages like not dying as soon as you meet your first adult black dragon!  Another one would be sharing the load when it comes time for grub.  While it's true that, at one point or another during the adventure, you'll be the one slaving away to prepare the meal and cleaning up afterwards, it's just as true that the rest of the time you can kick back, relax, and enjoy the campfire.  This Meal Sharing opportunity, of course, is entirely voluntary and you can, instead choose to bring all your own food.

The Game Masters in charge of this dungeon crawl are benevolent masters.  They will take great care to balance out the work and supplies needed to take on such an heroic effort!  This means that, while each party will be required to bring enough ingredients for the meal they are preparing (or forage from the nearby woods) to feed everyone around the campfire, every effort will be made to balance the amount of ingredients you must provide with the amount they are, in turn (get it?  games... turns...  Aww man, nobody ever laughs at my puns!), going to consume themselves.  For meals with extra large adventuring groups, you may be teamed up with others to help you achieve such an epic task.

Potluck?  Is that when you try your luck at opening a treasure chest?

Absolutely!  You never know what you're going to find in some of those pots!  Unless, of course, the Game Masters step in again and make people label them.  Don't you just hate it when they do that?  It takes the surpise out of it and there goes all the fun, too!  Right?  Well, the GM's are going to make you label them anyway. :(

However, if you wish to partake of the bountious portions before you, you must first provide something from you own pouch.  Preferrably as much as your party would expect to consume themselves.  Again, participation is entirely voluntary and you are free to merely gaze on wantingly at all the grub you're missing out on; but, please, no drooling on the food!

We do ask that you have your offering already prepared before coming to Camp.  If the meal needs to be warmed, we ask that you do this in a crock pot, or some other similar high tech gadget.  The kitchen should not be used to cook this food.  This will keep the kitchen clean and avoid distractions during our heaviest play time.

  • How many people from your party will be eating at each meal?

Don't count the Halflings as they eat free with a participating adult.
  • You've selected that you want to participate in the Meal Sharing, but you haven't selected any meals.  Please select the number of people participating in at least one of the dropdowns above.

  • You should be contacted by one of the Game Masters by September 21st in regards to your assignment for Meal Sharing.  If you have not heard back by then, please feel free to reach out to us to get that information.

  • Payment

  • VERY IMPORTANT

We completely understand that many of you may be concerned (especially with all the data breaches as of late) about providing payment information, so we want to make it very clear up front: We are not collecting or storing payment information from this transaction.

All of this information is being taken in and used by Square directly.  This registration process just sends the information of what you're paying for to Square and they process the payment for us.

  •  How the Adventurer's Guild works

As this 'cart' is a little different than any we've ever seen, we'll now take a moment to point a couple of things out.

First and foremost, each item available for purchase has a checkbox in the upper-left corner.  If that box is not checked, you are not being charged for the item - regardless of what may appear in the quantity dropdown for the item.  If you're not certain, take a look at the Item subtotal in the bottom left to see how much you're being charged for the item in question.  Take a look at these two images for comparison:

Secondly, you will not be redirected to Square until the last page of the registration process (don't worry, you're almost there) when you click the Submit button.  After a successful submission through Square, you will get an email containing a link to your itemized Square receipt.  That email will come from noreply@jotform.com and have a subject of Receipt for CAMP CARDBOARD 2024 REGISTRATION.  Keep an eye out for it as it may end up in your junk mail.

Lastly, if there is a problem with the data entered on this page for your form of payment, you will be redirected back to the beginning of this registration form.  Most, but not all, of your information will still be there - this is due to limitations in the form elements that we have no control over and, therefore, cannot fix.  So, just be careful when entering your data.

It's saddening to think of all the potential experience points you'll be missing out on. :'(
        • Hopefully, it wasn't the dragon nursery out back that scared you off.  Of course, we understand that sometimes side quests take up so much time that we can't do everything we want to do.  We hope to see you next year; however, if you would rather we not continue to reach out and invite you in the future, please indicate so below.

We will be sending out additional information as the time approaches regarding what to expect upon arrival at the event this year - especially since we won't be doing it the same way we've done in the past.

If you've chosen to participate in the Meal Sharing, you'll be contacted separately about that.

We truly can't wait to see you there.
